AW-Ni is recomended for all-position welding of thin cast iron sections where maximum machinability is required. Since the core wire is approximately 97% nickel, weld deposits are basically “soft” and can shaped, milled, drilled, or tapped, while the color will match that of cast iron. AW-Ni is specifically suited for repairing cracked or porous castings and to weld cast iron to itself or dissimilar metals such as low alloy and carbon steels.
AW-NiFe is designed for all-position joining and surfacing of cast iron, malleable iron and ductile iron to itself or dissimilar metals such as mild steel, stainless steel, wrought alloys or high nickel alloys. A core wire chemistry of approximately 55% nickel and 45% iron produces weld deposits with much lower weld shrinkage stress which in turn reduces the possibility of weld or heat-affected zone cracking. AW-NiFe produces high strength, ductile weld deposits even when welding low grade cast iron containing excessive levels of phosphorus or other contaminants.
AW-ENiCu is basic-graphite special coated electrode with a NiCu-alloyed core wire. This electrode is particularly suitable for safe cold welding of grey cast iron, cast steel and malleable cast iron. The colour of the weld deposit is very similar to cast iron. Therefore, the electrode is primarily suitable for repairing casting or machining defects on new castings.
Joining and surfacing on Nickel Copper alloys and alloys to one another ot to carbon or stainless steel, Monel Alloy. Also general purposes for cladding steels of different materisals. Used in high grade apparatus construction for chemical and Petrochemical Industries. Welding of nickels steel for transport and storage tanks for cryogenic products (LPG, etc.), also used in the fabrication of seawater evaporation plants and marine equipments.
The weld metal of AW-312 is a stainless steel which contain more quantities of ferrie than E309/E309L. Crack resistance is good. It’s excellent for the welding of dissimilar metals, cladding steel and steels with high hardenability.
AW-Bronze is tin bronze electrodes for assembly and surfacing weld on copper alloys and suitable for depositing a bronze layer on steel, cast steel, and cast iron. Suitable for assembly and surfacing weld on tin-bronze materials, red brass, and copper as well as depositing a bronze layer on steel, cast steel, and cast iron.
AW-AG is especially used for all cutting, gouging, beveling and piercing purposes. Particulary suitable for cutting industrial metals like steels, cast irons, non-ferrous metals and also metals which are difficult or impossible to cut with oxyacetylene process. The surface finish is very clean and smooth. Possible to use in AC or DC provides higher metal removal speed.
Designed for air carbon-arc metal removal process which melts metal with an electric arc, then blows it away with a jet of compressed air. The electrodes contain a blend of carbon and graphite that produces the most efficient metal removal performance. They offer excellent arc stability, superior metal removal rates, resistance to breakage, heat and oxidation, uniform diameter and clean slag-free grooves.
ARONWELD carbon gouging electrodes enable the user to take advantage of the electric arc’s unique concentration of heat for fast cutting and gouging of most metals – including carbon and ductile irons, copper, aluminum and other high strength and high temperature alloys.
