AW-308L is an austenitic 18% Cr – 9% Ni Stainless steel electrodes with an extra low carbon content. Fine metal droplet transfer, good fusion of join faces, finely rippled bead surface, easily removable slag. Easy arc striking and restriking.
AW-309L is usually used for joining stainless steel to non alloy or low alloy steels. The corrosion resistance is important in surfacing & is dependent on the composition of the weld metal obtained. It’s possible in practice to obtain full resistance to intergranular corrosion due to the low carbon content of the weld metal.
AW-309Mo was developed for welding 22% Cr – 13% Ni – 2,5% Mo stainless steel, austenitic stainless steel containing molybdenum to mild or carbon steel and for welding ferritic steel plates clad with AISI 316 stainless steel. This electrode yields an austenitic ferritic, crack resistance against sulfuric acid, phosphoric acid, etc. It is typically used for overlaying carbon steel giving weld deposits analogous to 316 stainless steel.
A rutile coated manual metal arc electrode for the welding of 310 austenitic stainless steel. AW-310 deposits 25%Cr-20% Ni weld metal which offers high temperature ductility and excellent resistance to oxidation at working temperatures of up to 1200ºC. AW-310 produces a smooth, even metal transfer with low spatter and a self releasing slag. The finished welds exhibit a slightly concave shape with good cosmetic appearance which requires little or no post weld dressing. The electrode is ideal for both fillet and butt welding applications. The smaller diameter electrodes can be used for vertical up and overhead welding.
AW-316L is a lime titania type stainless steel electrode, which gives an extra low carbon 19% – 13% – 2% Mo austenitic stainless deposited metal. As the carbon content is lower than 316 type, which usability in acid resistance, corrosion resistability and weldability are execellent. The electrode is used in various of chemical plants and other heavy duty apparatuses.
It is kind of Nb contented Cr18Ni12Mo2Nb stainless steel electrodes with titanium-calcium covering. It has excellent mechanical properties and inter-crystalline corrosion resistance. It is applicable for welding of 06Cr17Ni12Mo2, 022Cr17Ni12Mo2 stainless steels, used for strong corrosive medium of urea synthesis tower and vinylon equipment.
AW-347 are used to weld austenitic 18% Cr – 9% Ni stainless steels where maximum resistance to corrosion is required. AW-347 weld deposit contain Niobium (Nb) which prevents intergranular corrosion caused by carbide precipitation. Commonly used for welding AISI 304, 321, and 347 stailess steels in the textile and cellulose industries for joint-welding mechanical parts exposed to chemical attack. Also used in pressure vessels at chemical plants and oil refineries, dye works, and for sealing basis applications in acid, gas, water and steam valves and fittings.
AW-410 is a lime-titania type electrode of good usability in all position welding. Remarkable oxidation and corrosion resistabilities of weld metal. Used for surfacing of the part where corrosion resistibility is required in chemical and petroleum industry.
AWS E430-16 is the kind of Cr17 stainless stee welding electrodes with Ti-coated. It can be used for both DC+ dan AC current. It is applicable for welding of Cr17 stainless steel with nitric acid resistance and heat resistance
